Well we didn't end up getting that unit. It involved a real estate agency who prefer single people over couples, which is completely stupid, as two people can pay rent far easier than one. It's all about the money, people!
Anyway, my birthday came and went, and with it came (and went) a night of drunkness with some randon Norwegians I met at a petrol station as I was buying some food, and trip to Cairns, where I saw two movies, Charlie and the chocolate factory and Wallace and Gromit, which both ruled. I also picked up some Sonic DVDs, which is always nice...
But aha! we have since found a new place stay! It's a townhouse, about a two minute walk from the backpackers, and we'll be staying in it with some other people. It's quite cool. It's got a DVD player as well, which is awesome! And it's only $85 a week, compared to the $135 I was paying at the backpackers.
I'm also building up quite a collection of books as well. I have all six Harry potters up here, as well as a Sienfeld book, entitled Sienlanguage (funny, funny stuff), Animal Farm and 1984 by George Orwell, which are both teriffic, and just today, I purchased a book on LOTR and the similarities and differences from the books and the movies.
Ooh! And only minutes ago I witnessed some footage from the new next Gen Sonic game, oddly titled Sonic The Hedgehog. One word: Wow. But I'm sure nobody but me cares, so I'll shut up...
That's about it from me.
TOM OUT.
